Hi! Duolingo is a great way to learn a language! It really is! My 4 star rating is for one thing… ftp. Ftp players have much less privilege, which is fine, except for energy which literally limits our learning time each day. If you’re really serious about learning a language, then why would you want to use an app that limits your learning to three lessons max. My message here for duo is to PLEASE TAKE AWAY OUR ENERGY.
Terrible. I can’t believe they did toyed their own product.
Duolingo is honestly pretty good if u just do the lessons and not try (ˇˍˇ).... You're not gonna go anywhere but if you say it with the characters you honestly get kinda good at it at least I do. I would definitely recommend duo it definitely helps you learn languages like German and others. The adds though not so amazing operators definitely need to work on that so there's not an add after EVERY SINGLE LESSON, maybe like 1 when you first logg on or 1 every 3 lessons. So operators please fix that, otherwise good app for learning languages!
I downloaded Duolingo to learn Portuguese before my trip to Brazil. I always heard good things. My personal experience – Duolingo is OK for learning new vocabulary but they don’t really give you lessons. They just start throwing sentences at you and often times many new words all at once which can be overwhelming. It’s a good app but I think it could be greatly improved if they would actually include lessons explaining differences in words or sharing a bit of context before jumping into sentences to fill in the blanks etc. They also offer little tips at the beginning of lessons but it only shows for a second or two and you don’t even have a chance to read the little tips before they are gone. Once again a good app but definite room for improvement. I’m taking some online classes now to learn Portuguese and using Duolingo as an extra method of learning instead of the main way to learn. I do like that it’s free.
I would recommend it is the best
Oh my gosh, if I could give Duolingo 1 million stars I want it is the best app I’ve had for language learning and learning how to play piano from chess to 1 million different facilities and I’m being sarcastic, but it’s still like the best app I’ve had
This is not for kids
So fun. Learning so much. Can’t wait to finish my Spanish
The Music lessons lag, particularly when playing songs, making it impossible to play correctly much less earn three stars.
THIS IS FREE
It was not sending threats to me when I skipped a Spanish lesson. Very effective.
So good
I love the app and concept, and I pay for premium, but there’s too much gamification and too many pop ups after the lessons. I have to click through so many game-related screens just to get to the next lesson. I want an option to turn the gamification off.
I love the app! I’ve been using it for years! But when I have to leave for summer camps that don’t let me bring my phone… well that’s a issue that’s out of my control, but now Duolingo limits how many streak freezes you can buy! So now I can buy freezes with gems I rightfully earned to save my 400+ day streak!!! To be honest I find it quite outrageous. I work hard, lean Spanish, and can show off my streak I spent years building. But now due to lack of logic. I might lose it all. Love Duolingo a lot, but this is just wrong… all my work. Destroyed while all I can do is wait for the fire I so carefully kept alive for so long, to burn out in an instant. Please fix this. Before you encounter more people like me who might not take so kindly to this.
The lessons were sooooo good I learned so much already I have only had it for three days and I love it Por favor
It’s fun and easy to do. If there’s a bit of competitive nature in you it will push you even further!
I hate this app it drives me insane when the stupid owl begs me to learn nonsense that I waste hours learning. You get 5 mistakes and you’re done. There are adds it needs Wi-Fi.
Love the game replay overview. It shows you tactical and strategic mistakes made in the past game.
Pronunciations are getting worse. There’s hugely obvious errors that make me question my understanding of the language. You can tell it’s AI mistakes, too. On the matching cards it’s often wrong or vague words that match. The pronunciations have been sooo wrong. Recently in German “Gewichte heben” but said in anything but German. We’re going to cancel our max family plan once we figure out what to move to. It’s teaching us all bad habits.
Duolingo has really helped me on my Spanish. I have not failed a single Spanish test since!
I was using this app and I needed to fart so I clenched my butt because my dad was at my house but I couldn’t hold it in much longer so I sharted on my phone
⭐️✨🎵 oh…dream ……….saw u in my dreams let yourself go what ur waiting for ur time is now u need nothin’ more u got lucky.🎵⭐️✨
I have only been doing this for a few weeks and I can already say a few sentences. It is a good app but it can be annoying at times.
I love this app it’s fun to learn on and I’ve been doing it for 60 days!!!
I love this ap! So much fun! Highly recommend.
듀오야 계속 함께 하자!
Good for travel and connecting
If you scroll down and see their privacy policy they use nearly every single one. Including location, identity, and that’s just the start.
So fun I learned Korean in a week it’s so fun I so recommend
Duo helps me learn so much new languages in meny diffrant ways
It is great when it comes to showing you a different language. I just wished it showed me where I am messing up and how to fix it. Also repeating is key for me, I wish I could hit repeat on some of the things I know I missed.
Your energy bar goes down even though you get everything correct, the app essentially punishes you for doing a good job. I had re-downloaded this app after using it for a long time in the past, lesson learned. Deleting this again and moving on to another platform!
El Duolingo de hace de 10 años atrás ya me había enseñado a conjugar 4 verbos en el mismo nivel que estoy ahora. Sí se aprende pero no me ha enseñado mucho en la etapa 1, una lección larguísima para aprender a pedir Kaffee und Milch mit Zucker que me hizo perder el entusiasmo, sigo ocupándolo esperando aprender a conjugar verbos.
Duolingo is the best language lessons app there is I learn Spanish and just three months. It is so easy and fun to do. Definitely five stars.
The learning content is good but they changed it so you have to spend as much time tapping on chests repeatedly as you do learning. The gamification has gone too far and makes it very frustrating if you actually want to use this app to learn.
En el evento de la copa dúo tengo que hacer mínimo 5 lecciones para que me de mi disfraz hoy he hecho 14 y no me lo a dado
Stay away. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes I don’t like the ranking
My friend downloaded duo and it said you can’t hide from duo. Made a low pitch sound and was acting weird. She now thinks someone is spying on her. So idk.
I will soon be deleting my account if duo can’t have a better curriculum… especially base in the reports of issues….
Thank you I can read Korean now and speak it
Great app
Just learning a new language is perfect. I’ve never been so enthusiastic about learning a new language I love this app
Love Duolingo so far but it would be nice to get more bonuses if I have a long streak. Sometimes I lose battery quickly during one lesson even though I’m getting everything correct.
It’s helping me learn more and new things. So I approve this app.
I have been using Duolingo to learn Spanish and generally find it helpful for practicing vocabulary and basic phrases. However, I was disappointed by some of the example sentences in the family section. The content felt inappropriate for a beginner lesson and not what I expected when learning basic family vocabulary. I would prefer more straightforward and traditional examples at the early levels. I think the app is useful overall, but I hope future updates will keep beginner lessons more focused on simple, clear language that matches the topic being taught.
I haven’t used the app in a very long time, but I hate that energy was added because now I can only get through ONE lesson for free and then I have to wait until the next day, whereas before, I could get through several lessons as long as I had enough hearts.
The flash cards are seriously awful. If I can’t speak then I can’t win at all. I don’t have a Korean keyboard… This app doesn’t teach you useful things. It’s all games that are not helpful. Deleting this app
On the leaderboard, chess should not be in the same bracket as people learning new languages. More often than not, I get knocked down because a chess player gets more exp.
It is helping me with German and it’s good for people
