The FAQs represent common questions directed to the Agency and span multiple disciplines, including regulatory review; chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC); pharmacology/toxicology; clinical; and clinical pharmacology. This guidance announced in this notice finalizes the draft guidance of the same title issued on November 19, 2024.

So, today I had my first Karen of the school year show up at the main office. She wanted to speak to the entire administration team, but we told her that wasn't possible at this time. So she settled on me and the assistant principal. She went on a 5-minute long rant about how her kid was bullied and hated by his teachers at his last school. Curious the fastest you ever quit a toxic nursing position? This is definitely a record for me. I accepted a job as dispensing nurse at an outpatient MAT facility (methadone/suboxone). I ignored some red flags in the hiring process. First off, I wasn’t contacted for about a month after applying. I was gearing up to accept a job elsewhere that I really wanted even though it was a long commute but then at the last minute I changed my mind to pursue the dispensing position instead because it was so much closer to my home. Once I interviewed and was offered the position and accepted it, the interim director could not keep straight what parts of the onboarding process I had/hadn’t completed. I chalked this up to her being overwhelmed by managing 2 facilities. But I didn’t get confirmation about my start date until the Friday afternoon before. I started the school year last week with two students who just turned 4 the week of, one turning 4 at the end of this month, and many of them turned 4 over the summer with the other half turning 5 between end of September and December. I think it’s a combination of age, the iPad, and not being told no. I know TK is to prepare them for the school environment and I should expect this, but it seems over the top this year. Second year HS teacher here and I’m at a total loss of how kids find humor these days Last year and this year, kids I don’t even have have been majorly disrespectful to me and my room. Now it’s not like they trash it, but if the door is propped open to stay open or closed but able to open, these kids will either push it closed or open it and let go then run. Also last year, a student yelled a very certain racial slur in the hallway just for the fun of it and when I told him to watch his language, his response was “ shut TF up word ” then ran. In another instance, I had a note on my door that said meeting in progress do not disturb, and then these two kids pounded as hard as they could on the door and then ran. I caught one of them and his response was “ I did nothing wrong. I'm a relatively new ESL teacher, working in a public school with students aged 15+. This is only my second year, but I'm already struggling with the workload. I feel like I'm drowning in papers, tasks, and screen time - and slowly starting to lose myself in the process. Lesson planning alone is incredibly time-consuming. Simply following the coursebook page by page often feels too uninteresting for many of my students, so I experiment with different activities, materials, and ways of presenting the content. It works and usually increases engagement, but it's not very efficient in the long run. Creating materials tailored to a particular group's needs takes time, and so does printing worksheets - sometimes up to 80-90 copies a week. And that's only the planning. There are also emails, reports, tests to create, student writing to grade, and endless administrative tasks. I spend so much time staring at a screen that it honestly doesn't feel healthy anymore. So I’ve been an RN for 6 years and a home health nurse for 1.5 years. Today I had a suprapubic catheter change due for a patient at an assisted living home. I went to remove the old catheter and I noticed upon pulling it out it got stuck. I managed to wiggle it around and it loosened up a little. When it came out there was a soft pop but there wasn’t any blood or anything on the catheter tip or on the SP site. When I went to insert the new catheter I swear the canal must’ve closed up or the patient was having a bladder spasm because when I was trying to insert it wasn’t going in. I tried to insert it straight, at an angle, and also downward toward the pubic bone but nothing worked. Then the SP site began to bleed so I stopped. I spoke with the patient’s resident care coordinator and she looked really irritated when I told her the patient will need to go to the ER to have his catheter changed. I am about to start my 3rd (out of 4) semester of my nursing program. over the summer i got a job as before/after school teacher. now that school is starting im getting nervous / stressed about whether i am going to be able to handle everything or if i should just quit. I also have a 3 year old son who is in daycare 8-3 and my partner works full time. The last 2 semesters i didn’t work, and used the time that my son was in daycare to study and do work. The next 2 semesters i am also taking an extra class that will go towards my BSN. My weekly schedule would be M: 8-1230 lecture, work 115-545 tuesdays work 7-815 am then clinical 2-11 wed i would be off and have clinical 2-11. th/fri id work split shift 7-815 and 230-545. My MIL does help us out and would be able to pick my son up or drop him off at daycare, but we currently live with my in-laws so I would basically not have any time by myself to do anything school related other than hours before i work or start clinical. This is my rant post for nursing certifications. Nearly $400 for initial BCEN certification is insane and a total money grab from these certifying bodies. Plus eventual renewal fees and associated CEUs and also costs for licensure renewal that is essentially a "licensure tax". add multistate licensure and multiple certifications in there and there goes the vacation fund. I have a year left of school and I actually hate nursing. The future of healthcare is so bleak and it's incredibly clear that management doesn't give a shit about us and we will constantly be under-resourced to do our very important and stressful jobs. I've been a CNA for over two years and a nurse tech for about 6 months. Maybe I've just worked a lot over the summer and I'm burned out but as soon as I get my degree, I'm gonna start taking classes for engineering or something because good lord, this field is not looking good. I'm in a privileged position cause I have scholarships to pay for all of my schooling and some of my living expenses. If this weren't the case, things might be different and I may feel trapped/pressured to do this for much longer. Still thankful for all I've learned though. I was taken aside yesterday at work and told that I made a patient cry after our correspondence via MyChart. I work clinic side and I field hundreds of messages and phone calls every day from patients, and sometimes I do get frustrated by patients who don’t seem to…..get it? This patient had two recent UAs. One came back with trace non-hemolyzed RBC and the other came back with trace hemolyzed RBC. This patient, a woman in her late 50s-60s, had a lot of questions about what these results meant - specifically what the difference between hemolyzed and non-hemolyzed RBCs in her sample meant. I did my best trying to explain in lay terms what this meant but over the course of our correspondence she was just not grokking it. The provider even stepped in and sent a message to the patient explaining the difference. We gave her resources and links to articles explaining what these words meant. Finally (after about 6 messages back and forth) I sent her a message saying that she may be better off
I am a 10th year teacher in michigan and am attending a mandatory PD. I honestly have to say that sometimes PDs make me worried about the quality of our education system more than anything else does. The keynote speaker spent an hour telling the room the secret to teaching is apparently just being nice while she repeatedly climbed up and down tables. Like the overall theme was. In March last year a student assaulted me when he couldn’t get to his target student who had already run away from the scene. He bashed my head into the door several times. Now I’ve begun having seizures. Major, full body convulsions and foaming at the mouth. I have 2-4 a week. We are two weeks into the year and this morning marks three times I’ve been sent home due to my seizures. I’ve already got intermittent FMLA coverage, but I’m realizing very quickly I may not be able to teach unless these are gotten under control. Yes, I have a medical team working on it. Detroit Public Schools Community District is expanding an attendance incentive that officials say helped improve turnout among high school students. Students in grades 6 through 8 can earn $50 for each week of perfect attendance, while high school students can still earn $100 a week. The expansion comes as chronic absenteeism remains widespread. In 2024-25, 61% of district students missed at least 10% of the school year. There will also be a new ride-share pilot program. The $500,000 rideshare pilot will provide trips to about 150 students at Pershing, Denby, Osborn and East English Village high schools from Aug. 24 through mid-October. I really want to study English Language and Creative Writing but I cannot justify the £5k a year on open university. If I don’t care about the label and saying hey I have a BA, how realistic is it for me to study using libraries, YouTube and books and learn the same things as if I went to uni for 3-6 years? I know the information is there but without a dedicated class or professor, how does one know what to do or study next? Who would critique my understanding? This year my school is introducing a study hall/elective period so that students can be pulled for additional services. This would be great if it wasn’t for the fact that theres no plan for students who don’t receive services they just split them up amongst the gen ed teachers. I read a lot of AI text at work. Somewhere between the third "testament to" and the hundredth "delve", I stopped trusting long sentences altogether. So I made a small game called Long Story Short: one sentence a day, keep the five words that actually carry the story, cut the rest. It's a week old. 12,000 plays so far. A retired news editor emails me most mornings to argue about the answers, clause by clause, and he's mostly right. Yesterday two players argued opposite sides of the same word and convinced me my sentence itself was wrong. Reposting bc I only got one response in a different group. I went in for an interview 4 weeks ago, and I thought it went great! The hiring manager verbally stated that I would be an addition to the upcoming cohort, and it would take 2-3 weeks before offer letters start going out. I sent a thank you letter after the interview and asked if 2-3 weeks was the wait time just to clarify and to know what to expect. They kindly responded about 6 days later (they said they would be on vacation right after our interview) and confirmed that yes, they will be working with the recruiter in the next few weeks to start getting offer letters sent. Tomorrow will be exactly 3 weeks since they responded, and I’m just angsty. Everyone knows how much I enjoy contributing to the team. I enjoy being an intern in this unit and this is where I see myself thriving. One night, it was slow and I didn’t do much of anything. In my defense, everyone else was chilling soo… The next day I’m back in. I’m assisting a nurse with a patient.
